CCTV Policy

1. Purpose

The purpose of this CCTV policy is to set out the appropriate actions and procedures which are followed in relation to the operation, management, and use of the CCTV system at Retford Snooker Ltd. The system is used to ensure the safety and security of staff, customers, visitors, and property, as well as to prevent and detect crime.

 

2. Scope

This policy applies to all employees, visitors, and any other individuals present on the premises of Retford Snooker Ltd.

 

3. Operation of the CCTV System

• The CCTV system operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• Cameras are located in strategic places, covering both internal and external areas of the premises.

• Signs are prominently displayed to inform individuals that CCTV is in use.

 

4. Data Protection

• The CCTV system is operated in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• Recorded footage is stored securely and is only accessible to authorized personnel.

• Footage is retained for a period of 30 days, after which it is securely deleted unless required for ongoing investigations.

 

5. Use of CCTV Footage

• Footage is used solely for the purposes of safety, security, and crime prevention.

• The footage may be shared with law enforcement agencies or other relevant bodies if required for an investigation.

 

6. Access to Footage

• Individuals have the right to request access to footage in which they are identifiable.

• Requests must be made in writing to our Data Protection Officer at 01777 704948.

• We will respond to requests within one month of receipt.

 

7. Responsibilities

• The management team is responsible for the operation of the CCTV system and ensuring compliance with this policy.

• The Data Protection Officer is responsible for handling requests for access to footage and ensuring the secure storage and deletion of footage.

8. Review of Policy

• This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains compliant with relevant legislation and effective in its purpose.
